MEET DEBORAH CLACK

Deborah Clack is a native Texan, non-recovering chocolate addict, and contemporary fiction author.

Her titles include 1991 Odyssey of the Mind World Champion, January 1989 Orthodontist Patient of the Month, and 1988 Most Improved Player at the Rolando Blackmon Basketball Camp.

A high school AP history teacher for 10 years, Deborah earned a Masters Degree in Education, and was awarded Teacher of the Year for Arts in Education. Now she creates stories of her own with endearing and broken characters full of humor and grit. Because life is crooked and twisty, finding where you belong can be complex. She asks her heroines, as well as her readers, to dig deep, play hard, and laugh often.

She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Romance Writers of America. Her work received First Place in the Contemporary Romance Foundations Contest at the 2017 Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference, as well as First Place Flash Fiction in 2019. She won Second Place in the 2018 Touched by Love Award through the Faith, Hope, and Love chapter of RWA. She was a 2017 finalist and 2019 double finalist in the ACFW Genesis Contest.

Deborah can lip-sync the heck out of Barbara Streisand’s “Jingle Bells” and is a fan of the original romantic suspense movie, Star Wars. Never achieving her dream of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, she settles for being a fan while living in The Lone Star State with her family.

You can find her on The Social Media, where she pretends to be an extrovert.

Deborah Clack is represented by Tamela Hancock Murray of The Steve Laube Agency.
